They are thin, work as a good liner with good arch support. However, the older inserts I have, had a firm plastic arch. The way they held up in my shoes seemed to mold to the heel of shoe. These are rubber. They seem to slip around. Which has messed my foot up again. Maybe if I can find some more narrow heel shoes, they might stay in one place. Until then, I will have to keep wearing the old (no cushion left) inserts in my good dress shoes.

I have very low arches, in fact they are almost non existant! Just because I am one of the people they didn't work for, they still might work for you. I guess I need a whole lot more support than these give. My Physical Therapist swears by them. Just sadly, not for me!
