I'm a pickleball coach, frequently on the court for 5+ hours a day. I've worn custom orthotics for years to treat achilles tendonitis. I recently tried Protalus insoles because I was tired of spending hundreds for custom products. These insoles are pretty comfortable and seem to provide foot stability. They are a bit heavy though, so I rated them as 4 stars instead of 5. I think that they would be too heavy for my running shoes.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but honestly within 20 minutes of wearing I could feel the difference… improved cushion and shock absorption, nice stability, greater comfort. They did feel stiff at first, but they “warmed up” nicely and felt great. These insoles added new life to my Pickleball shoes. My original insoles were literally razor thin, cheap, and ineffective. These Protalus Elite T-100 insoles are truly a game changer.

I wear a 9.5 wide men’s shoe size and the 9.5 insole fit perfectly. I’ll update my review in a few months to comment on durability.

All orthotics that I ever order. I always take a lot of time to get used to them. Wearing them for a few minutes a day.

I have worked my way up to 15 -20 minutes and it's only gotten worse. Meaning that my planter has not resolved or lightened. And I have additional pain in my left outer calf.

I thought I could get used to it but it's hurting me and causing me pain while I'm biking or walking with no orthotics.

I now I just wasted 70 bucks.

Honestly, you just need to get custom orthotics built for you. There's no way one generic orthotic will ever work for everyone.
