Moderate Support
Definitely helps for enclosed shoes without arch support, but has some pros and cons.For reference, these are being tested in a pair of knee high, low heeled boots. The boots, as is, have no arch support and a small amount of space in the toe box area.Pros:Overall CushioningThin profile for minimal added ‘bulk’Arch supportTargeted pad/cushion for heelsConveniently marked areas on the bottom for trimming length & partial customization to fit into shoesCons:Odd smell upon openingArch support is for mid/low/flat feet (High arches are only partially supported)Marked areas for trimming are exclusively for the toe area; no markings provided for width reductionInserting into a tight area is a little tricky to get perfectly flat, but after trimming each pad, insertion was much easier.As someone who is used to a higher level of arch support, I found these to be adequate and a vast improvement over the boots alone. Unknown how they will hold up over time/distance. (Currently too hot to wear for everyday walking)The thin profile for the toe area is a huge plus, but be mindful of which shoes you are putting these in! If you don’t have much extra space or shoes with no stretch or give, you may find your toes pressed uncomfortably.After cutting and testing the fit, these will be allowed to air out to see if the synthetic plastic/chemical smell will dissipate. (Update: almost all smell had dissipated within a few hours)Overall, I am very optimistic for the winter season and using my cute boots without the pain of zero arch support.
