I have some expensive prescription insoles similar to these that cost me $200 a set. The prescription version is more heavily constructed and will last longer than these, but these I am anticipating lasting longer than the soft-cushiony insoles.
I have pretty flat feet and 230-250 lbs, so need all the help that I can get and I usually end up crushing softer versions before they are supposed to be changed. Three weeks and these are holding up fine as near as I can tell and my plantar fasciitis isn't bothering me. The only question for me at this point is how long they will last. Hopefully, I can update later.
As for others who have complained about them being hard, I don't disagree. My prescription versions are as well. I also found I got used to it very quickly. YMMV.

Omg! Hard plastic
Omg! My husband needs orthotics. He ordered these. $35 so he thinks these will be great. Omg! They are hard, inflexible plastic. Not cushiony. Painful. I have never seen an orthotic made of hard plastic. I suppose they must have a purpose but not for my husband.
